UK fitness facilities open their doors

Over the weekend 100’s of leisure facilities across England reopened their doors to welcome their members back in a clean and safe environment. It’s fantastic to see so many members making the most of being back in their facilities to help them get back on track with their training sessions. Hundred’s of FitQuest tests have been completed in our partner’s facilities since reopening, with members gauging the impact of lockdown on their fitness and body composition levels.

Our partners have implemented a whole range of new procedures, in line with recommended guidance from UKactive, to help ensure members can exercise safely and effectively in the current climate. Take a look at what you can expect in some of our partner’s facilities!

The Gym Group

Across The Gym Group facilities there are a range of hygiene and social distancing measures being implemented, including increased cleaning measures, spaced out gym equipment so you can maintain a safe distance from others while working out, access to sanitising spray to clean your kit once you’ve used it and hand sanitisers across the gym floor. Check out this short video to see how it all works:

Better

To make sure your visit to your local leisure centre is as safe as possible, Better have put new hygiene measures in place at their gyms, pools and fitness classes, including one way systems, increased cleaning stations, safety stickers to help you maintain a safe distance from others working out and bookings via their app to make sure numbers are controlled so you can exercise safely.

The below video details the safety procedures they’ve put in place, outlining what you can do to prepare for your visit, and what to expect while you’re there.
